NT’s overnight parking ban lifted immediately; police ordered to stop issuing tickets

by Joseph KisselFebruary 28, 2017

“I’d like to make a motion that we immediately lift the parking ban based on the forecasted weather,” said city council member Robert Pecoraro after the council voted to hold a special session at tonight’s workshop meeting.

“And If citizens do see a storm come in use their best judgement,” he said.

The mayor’s office contacted the police department immediately.

“Does that mean I can park in the street now?” asked an NT high school student about to make a presentation to the board about the city’s emerging new website.

“Are you excited?” asked alderman Donna Braun.

“Yes. I am!” he replied.

Pecoraro said residents can again immediately begin parking on the streets overnight.
