NT clean-up event 9 a.m. Saturday at Mayor’s Park; Oliver Street area next Sat.
Many hands make for light work.
And there’s plenty of worthy beautification projects in North Tonawanda for residents who want to roll up their sleeves and get those hands to work.
For starters, N.T. will be participating in its 10th Canal Clean Sweep 9 a.m. Saturday at Mayor’s Park. The event takes place in conjunction with dozens of other clean-ups along New York’s 524-mile canal system in preparation for its 193rd consecutive season of navigation along the water route that built America.
Would you spend a morning with your fellow residents picking up brush and fallen branches and other projects to make the canal an even more attractive place to visit on land or by water?
Other upcoming clean-ups include an Oliver Street Merchants Assoc. event, which will meet next Saturday (April 29) at 10 a.m. on the corner of Tremont and Oliver St.
There will also be a clean-up event 9 a.m. April 29 at Botanical Gardens as well as a sprucing up of Manhattan Street on May 6th.
See you Saturday!
